The day has arrived, it’s time to board the Hogwarts Express and download the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game, which is now available to download on Android in Australia.
First announced in December, the game is a product of a partnership with the newly created Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment division called Portkey Games and San Francisco based development company JamCity. The game sees you create your own witch or wizard character to attend the magical school created by JK Rowling for her massively popular book series.
In the game you’ll meet all the characters you know — or loathe — from the books and movies, attending classes where you’ll learn how to use spells or brew potions. You’ll unlock characters, spells and potions on your way to solving the mystery of your brother’s disappearance in an all new story.
It’s a free to play game, however there are in-app purchases — worth between $1.39 – $139.99 per item — in the game allowing you to progress through a little easier.
The game was having a few issues loading the character creation screen when I launched it, but as a massive Harry Potter fan, I’ll persist with this one for a while. If you want to head to Hogwarts, then head over to Google Play and download it.
