The Sony Xperia XZ2 is a pretty great phone, but progress rolls on and the Xperia XZ3 is on the horizon and so the leaks are continuing this time with a CAD render leaked by Steve Hemmerstoffer through his @onleaks Twitter account and a partnership with Indian site compareraja.

The render of the Xperia Z3, which from @onleaks previous history appears to be based of CAD drawings supplied to case makers, shows that Sony is not straying too far from the design of the Xperia XZ2. The XZ3 will remain a single lens camera phone, despite the XZ2 Premium going for a dual rear camera design. The single camera sensor will remain in-line with the rear mounted fingerprint sensor – a bit of a mistake in terms of usage.

The renders, shown in the video below give us a 360° view of the phone which will measure 158.3 x 73.08 x 9.9 – 10.1 mm in size. A USB-C port will be at the bottom of the phone, and a SIM card slot will be at the top of the phone.

In terms of specs, we can expect a 5.7″ FullHD+ display with a Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB of RAM powering the phone. There will be both 64GB and 128GB storage options, with a microSD card slot likely and a 3,240mAh battery powering the phone. The phone is likely to be launched at IFA in September, with the big draw card being that the phone is likely to launch with Android P
