High-end audio company Bose has unveiled two new Soundbars and Smart Speaker with voice assistant support ahead of IFA with the devices set to launch in October.
The Home Speaker 500, and Soundbar 500 & Soundbar 700 all initially include support for Amazon Alexa built-in though Bose have promised support for ‘other voice assistants’ which is presumed to mean Google Assistant ‘to follow’.
Bose have promised a better experience with their new line of voice-assistant enabled speaker and soundbars, advising that the Home Speaker 500 delivers ‘true stereo separation’ with no need to pair two of the speakers, thanks to two custom drivers pointed in opposite directions which reflect sound off walls to achieve the effect. The Soundbar 700 and 500 ‘acoustically adjust to their surroundings’ to offer ‘jaw-dropping’ surround sound.
The Home Speaker 500 will come in a seamless anodised aluminium body measuring 8″x6″x4″ in Black and Silver and will cost USD $399.95. The Soundbar 500 is the smaller and thinner of the two soundbars announced, measuring 31″ in length, designed to sit beneath a TV and will cost USD $549.95 in Black, while the larger Soundbar 700 will come in Silver or Black and measure 38″ in length and comes with a luxurious glass top, wraparound metal grille and includes a remote control will be priced at $799.95.

Bose Australia has confirmed that all three products will be launching in Australia and New Zealand through Bose retail stores, Bose.com, and from authorised Bose dealers. The Home Speaker 500 will retail for $599.95 AUD/$699.95 NZD. The Soundbar 500 and 700 will retail for $799.95AUD/$949.95 NZD and $119.95AUD/$1379.95, respectively.
