Nokia’s decision to run all their phones on Google’s new barebones versions of Android, Android One and Android Go, seems to be paying off in spades. They have updated their phones faster than nearly all other manufacturers (aside from Google). Today they have revealed their roadmap for the next updates to come.

Over on Twitter, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas, has shared an image that shows which Nokia phones have been updated, which are currently being updated, and the dates for those yet to be updated.

As you can see in the image above the Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco are currently having their update roll out to them with the Nokia 5 and 3.1 Plus to follow later this month. The Nokias 6, 5.1, 3.1, 2.1, 3 and 1 will all receive Android Pie this quarter.

For Nokia to update so many phones by the end of this quarter would be an achievement given the process required for each phone to bring the update. Juho also shared the process a phone goes through before it is updated and it is very extensive. If you want a look at it you can check out their PDF of the process here.

Nokia should be congratulated for not just producing great phones with some of the best available software at very reasonable prices but also for keeping all of them updated much faster than most of their competitors.

The fast updates just adds to the list of reasons to purchase a Nokia phone. Is the speed of updates something you take into consideration when purchasing a new phone?
