The streaming services landscape in Australia – and internationally – is always changing. Netflix was once dominant, but now there’s many other players competing for your streaming budget. If you’re like me, or indeed most of the Ausdroid team, you’ve probably tried most services and settled on a couple which meet your needs.
For me, I’ve kept Netflix, Kayo and Fetch TV, and let subscriptions to Stan, Amazon Prime and others fall by the wayside. A lot of what you prefer comes down to the kinds of content you like to consume. For me, it’s documentaries, sports and the occasional movie, and the services I’ve kept serve those needs perfectly.
However, keeping streaming services around just in case can be quite expensive. With an average price of $10-15 a month, up to $25 for more premium content, you could easily pay between $80 and $200 a month on streaming services depending on the tiers / services you choose. That’s a lot to spend on watching TV.
So, help us out this weekend – can you tell us which services you use, which ones you prefer, and whether you’re planning on cancelling any? For this one, we’ve got a survey form below, and we’re leaving the comments on. Help us with the survey data, and if you’ve got any extra insight to share, please do so in the comments!
It’s a long weekend in parts of Australia, so we’ll close this one off on Monday afternoon and share the results!
