When it comes to your home PC setup, many users focus completely on the bits in the box. But — as we’ve highlighted in peripheral posts previously — there’s a clear need to think about your physical interfaces. That’s including your mouse, keyboard, speakers and monitor.
It’s the latter we’re taking a quick look at this weekend with a ridiculously cheap 44″ Ultrawide USB C monitor from Kogan.
When you compare it to other similar-sized and specced ultrawide monitors, this is a bargain. When you take a closer look at the specs, it’s actually a pretty impressive buy:
- 44” Ultrawide display with 3840 × 1080 resolution
- 120Hz refresh rate
- Inputs: 1 x HDMI, 1 x Display Port, 3 x USB 3.0 and 1 x USB-C one cable solution with 65W charging
- Backlit cover with customisable RGB lighting
- FreeSync capable panel
Be warned though, it’s going to take up a lot of room on your desk measuring 1089.4 x 547.4 x 286.77mm. So it’s not for those with limited space, but if you’ve got that available this is quite the upgrade. For $849.00 from Kogan, it’s not the cheapest monitor on the market, but it’s by far one of the cheapest large screens available.
