According to Ausdroid reader Ahmad, the new Fire TV stick 4K could finally be about to be released for sale by Amazon Australia.
Amazon’s Fire TV sticks are sub-$100 Wi-Fi enabled devices that plug into your TV’s spare HDMI port and enable the use of a wide range of free and subscription video streaming services.
The evidence is a photo of a box with logos of local streaming services STAN, SBS On Demand, ABC iView, 7+, 9 Now and 10 Play.
Of course someone could have photoshopped the logos on because the image is a bit blurry and fuzzy.
Until now Amazon has only sold their basic model Fire TV stick in Australia which is capable of HD video streaming.
Since the vast majority of TV’s bought by Australians are 4K it makes sense to plug in a streaming video device that is also 4K capable.
Would you consider using a Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K or do you prefer Google Chromecast with Google TV?
