I make no apologies for my love of Belkin equipment, in simple terms: It’s great value for money, excellent quality and, in my experience, always delivers what it says it will. So taking a look at the BoostCharge 20K with integrated cable — herein the BoostCharge 20K — was something I didn’t hesitate on.
Power banks have become an essential part of modern life, especially if you’re on the move and rely heavily on your devices. The Belkin BoostCharge 20K with Integrated Cable aims to make portable charging simpler by offering a high-capacity battery and built-in cables—no extra wires needed.
But does it deliver on convenience, performance, and value?
Design, Build and Specs
I know power banks are a dime a dozen these days, but there’s power banks and capable power banks, with a capacity to put out 30W PD is a great way to ensure all your gadgets are ready for action. Let’s start with a quick look at the key specs which include a sustainability tip of that hat with 72% PCR plastics in the devices manufacturing process:

Despite it’s power storage capacity, the BoostCharge 20K maintains a functional size that can fit into pretty much any daily-carry setup. It has a matte finish (white, pink, blue or black options) which is durable, and quite resistant to fingerprints and looking grubby after a bit of use or being carried around in a bag.
What I really like about this unit, is the integrated USB-C cable that is neatly recessed into the side of the unit. As someone who, for years now, has had a strong preference towards USB-C devices this means I don’t need to carry a charger, power bank and potentially multiple cables: Now it’s a single unit. All I need to do is to make sure I recharge it after use.
Charging your devices: Easier than ever with pass through charging
When it comes to charging your devices, the BoostCharge 20K has several specs that make it really versatile and just as useful. The 20,000mAh capacity gives you enough juice to charge multiple devices a couple of times while you’re on the move.
The 30W of power delivery is enough to charge almost any mobile device on the market at the moment. You’re not necessarily going to get fast charging, but being able to take the BoostCharge with you wherever you go, alleviates some of the need for fast charging. I’ve managed over a weekend with just the BoostCharge, and making sure that my iPad and Pixel are charged on Friday afternoon.
With the USB-A port you can charge multiple device simultaneously, but that does create a bit of a problem… the PD is a maximum of 30W so you’re limiting the charging output per line if you charge two devices at the same time.
It’s not something I use heavily, mainly because I have a good charging setup at home, but pass through charging could be really convenient for some users. If you’re needing to charge on the go, but being able to charge your devices from the BoostCharge 20k, while it’s plugged in to charge is remarkably convenient; it can provide a great streamline to your charging setup.
A couple of minor issues
During my testing there’s only a couple of minor issues that need to be noted. The first is that the integrated cable is just that, integrated and not replaceable. So if you do damage it, you’re going to have to carry another cable to charge your devices; but you’ll lose some of that convenience of the unit.
The other, is more an observation of the obvious and that is the weight. Obvious because it’s got a higher energy storage capacity, which means more material and higher weight. It’s just something to be aware of if you’re on the move and want to minimise weight.
Final thoughts
It’s not going to charge a laptop while you’re on the go, but if you want that level of power; you’re up for some bigger bucks to cover it. If you’re after a robust power bank that caters to keeping modern mobile devices charged on the go, then you’re on a winner here. With the high capacity, solid power delivery and convenience of the integrated cable, the RRP of AU$99.95 is more than reasonable. Unless I’m going to need laptop charging on the move, then this will be my go-to power bank for a while to come.
