Epson has launched a series of new projectors that it aims to address both the portable entertainment needs of consumers and those seeking a high-definition experience in their home theatres.
The three projectors, which were released at EPSON’s recent New Beginnings for a Brighter Future event held at the company’s new head office in North Sydney, where Ausdroid was in attendance.
The projectors launched were the EH-QL3000 professional 4K home laser projector, along with the EF-21 and EF-22, which join the EpiqVision lineup.
EH-QL3000 professional 4K home laser projector
The EH-QL3000 professional 4K home laser projector is the company’s latest high end lifestyle projector that the company states will bring an immersive, professional quality and vibrant experience to turn any space – from dedicated media spaces to well-lit living areas – into a cinema.
The EH-QL3000 professional 4K home laser projectors powered by advanced 3LCD laser technology to deliver 4K super resolution images (3840 x 2160) up to an incredible 1,000 inches. It comes with up to 6,000 lumens of colour and white brightness with a 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for well-defined shadows and even deeper blacks.
The EH-QL3000 produces stunning picture quality thanks to its 4K display technology with HDR10, which produces a full 8.3 million pixels on-screen for an exceptionally clear 4K UHD experience.
With HDMI 2.1 connectivity, a 4K/120hz refresh and Auto Low Latency Mode, EH-QL3000 is said to offer a smooth gaming experience, while spectacular image quality and large screen size make it ideal for sports simulation.
The EH-QL3000 is compatible with a wide range of interchangeable lenses and can be easily configured to provide the desired image size such as ultra-short throw, zero-offset lens that can allow the EH-QL3000 to be discreetly installed on surfaces such as ceilings. There is also integrated Crestron, Control4 and RS232C/wired LAN support, meaning that the EH-QL3000 can be easily integrated into an existing or new smart home network.
What’s even more interesting is that you can view any movies or TV shows using the EH-QL3000 in full sunlight or in a typical dark media theatre room in your home. Personally for me this is a game changer and comes down to the new technology and visual and processing that the EH-QL3000 can do to ensure you can view in high sunlight or low light without skipping a visual queue.
The EH-QL3000 will be available in either Black or White colours only and will retail for approximately AU$24,999 including GST through authorised EPSON retail partners.
