With the rollout of Chromecast to more markets, Google is turning on more functionality for the $49 dongle, announcing that live casting from YouTube is now available for mobile users.
Google initially enabled casting of YouTube live events from the desktop back in April, however this new announcement allows casting from mobile. Announced on the Google Chrome Google+ page, the announcement also included a link to some upcoming YouTube Live events to try out.
So, if you haven’t already, here’s another reason to head over to Google Play, or out into the real world to JB Hifi or Dick Smith and grab a Chromecast.
