After being announced at IFA in September last year, the Asus Zenwatch has finally made it’s way to Australia – selling on Google Play for $289.99.
The Zenwatch has taken a seeming age to arrive on our shores, but it’s here now and the price on Google Play seems fairly competitive with imports that have been covering Asus in the interim. Hardware wise you get a leather band, with a gorgeously curved square’ish face. The hardware inside is fairly similar to what we’ve seen in other watches, with Asus choosing to include a heart rate monitor over the GPS that Sony included in their Smartwatch.

The Zenwatch comes with a few companion apps which expand the functionality beyond basic Android Wear, including a Health Companion, Camera app and their own Zenwatch manager app to give a few extra features such as the ability to act as a trusted bluetooth device.
A listing for a spare Charging Cradle has been added to the accessories section, but it’s currently listed as ‘Coming Soon’. The charging cradle will be available soon for $39.99, but there’s no indication of exactly when. If you want to check it out then head over to the accessories section for a look.
The watch also tickled Alex’s fancy when he reviewed it earlier this year. If you want to grab an Asus Zenwatch, head on over to Google Play and grab one for yourself.
