The rumour mill has been in full flight over the last month with Amazon expected to announce a Kindle phone at last night’s announcement. However it was not to be, instead Amazon announced a number of new additions to the Fire range bringing in the HD 7 and HD 8.9, with the HD 8.9 coming in an LTE version also. The bad news? At this stage they will not make it to Australia, which in turn makes sense as the Amazon Appstore does not work in Australia and the Fire’s ecosystem is solely built around this and it’s bookstore. Maybe one day I suppose. Are you annoyed at Amazon’s neglect of the Australian market? Let us know in the comments.
